Abstract
A general method for power system sensitivity analysis is introduced. The method uses the concept of adjoint system. It enables the calculation of gradients of any system function with respect to any system parameters. A general model of system satisfying Kirchoff´s laws is assumed. Current-voltage and power-voltage models are distinguished as special cases, and adjoint models of various elements are introduced
