Abstract
In this paper a fast algorithm for MOM solution of integral equations for multilayer structures is presented. This approach is based on exponential expansion of a spatial domain Green´s function for multilayered media. The spatial domain Green´s function for multilayered media is given by a closed form expression using the method of complex images. The complex image representation is then expanded in a series of plane waves, including both the propagation and evanescent modes. This method is used to speed up the solution of the large matrix equations resulting from the method of moments (MOM) in low frequency applications.
