Abstract
It is the first time to adopt Coordinate Analysis Method in the river quality evaluation. Compared to Nenerow index method, the Coordinate Method overcomes some shortcomings which other methods usually have. The method not only gives prominence to high concentration contamination but also considers low concentration contamination. It could analyze the respective pollution level of the organic and poisonous contaminant qualitatively and quantificationally, and provide a comprehensive analysis for water quality with simple calculation and visual results. The analysis of results was rational, impersonal and specific.
