Abstract
Due to layout or specific physical requirements in deep sub-micron technology, integrated circuit blocks can be in an arbitrary rectilinear shape. Much research has been done to deal with convex and concave rectilinear blocks. However, it is still not enough to solve the problem perfectly. We apply the newly reported placement representation tool, SS (single-sequence), to solve this problem.
