Abstract :
Clear and exact role definition and specification are very important in collaborative systems. The current situation is that there is no efficient mechanism to support role specification in collaboration. The paper describes how to implement and construct the fundamental mechanisms to specify role-based object technologies. These mechanisms can be used by a role facilitator who is in charge of collaboration. With these mechanisms, collaborators´ roles can be tuned or changed by the role facilitator dynamically based on their requirements. Through this way, collaboration is conducted more smoothly, efficiently and productively.
