Abstract :
The focus of this paper is on the performance of the fast frequency hopped spread spectrum multiple access (FFH-SSMA) communication systems. By employing a normalized throughput measure that takes both system bandwidth and frequency diversity into consideration, the system performances of M-ary frequency-shift-keying (MFSK) modulations are comparatively investigated for M>2 alphabet size. Based on theoretical analysis, we give out computer simulation. Simulation results show that for the given numbers of frequency slots and active users, the maximum normalized throughput can be achieved when we split the M/sub opt/-ary modulation for fast frequency hopped systems on both the nonfading and fading channels.
