Abstract :
This paper describes the procedure which allows to generate flux maps for inductions motors. With these it is possible to control electric traction motors of hybrid vehicles in such a way that they can be operated at optimum efficiency. The flux map provides the optimum flux for every torque-motor speed combination. So the field weakening of the induction machine can be adapted individually and optimally to the operation point. So that optimum efficiency is achieved. Operation of the electric motor at optimum efficiency is of big interest especially in hybrid vehicles as here it contributes significantly to the reduction of fuel consumption.
