Abstract
It has been shown that by using a single-chip microcontroller a high-quality inverter output waveform can be obtained. The real-time implementation enables the inverter to respond to transient as well as steady-state conditions. The same micro has been used to provide the basic protection tasks required. In addition, the ability to switch at high frequencies (in real time) has led to a significant reduction in the output filter size
