Abstract :
In this paper the author shows how the type of hybrid models introduced previously by him (1993) can be used to evaluate the performance of motion control systems. He defines an appropriate class of formal languages, allowing one to frame such problems succinctly as word-to-position transducers. We show that models involving multiple triggers play an important role in modeling this type of motion control system
