Abstract
We have simulated the performance of some important blind equalisation algorithms. Most are based on fractionally spaced sampling, and the channels used are practical models taken from both COST-207 for cellular mobile, and a line of sight microwave digital communications channel. It is clear from the simulations, that a number of popular algorithms are not admissible candidates for blind equalisation in mobile channels, while others exhibit promising behaviour
