Abstract :
This paper proposes a new method of sinusoidal signal generation, which is based on the combination of an IIR digital filter and Coordinate Rotations Digital Computer (CORDIC) arithmetic. Theoretical analysis of the method is discussed. Simulation results show that, at the same level of hardware consumption, this method outputs signals with higher SNR and higher frequencies, compared to the direct CORDIC algorithm.
