Abstract :
In this paper an adaptive structure based on the minimum mean square error receiver for the downlink in W-CDMA is presented. The set up enables the suppression of multiple access interference, and implements channel equalization, thus reducing multipath interference and avoiding the reduction of orthogonality between Walsh spreading codes. The channel equalization introduced by such receiver is studied for two adaptive algorithms: LMS and NLMS
