Abstract :
The HELPMATE project aims to deliver an advanced fault diagnosis system, by producing a system that uses case-based reasoning for diagnosis and hypermedia linking to provide online relevant information adding content and context to the diagnosis. It is relatively easy to link these two technologies but it is much harder to integrate the knowledge needed for diagnosis with the online multimedia to make the system intelligible and relevant to the user
