Abstract
This paper proposes a limited complexity model of nonlinear multi-input multi-output (MIMO) systems when its outputs are decoupled. The model is based on Volterra series where its kernels are developed on the generalised orthogonal basis (GOB) to yield the GOB-Volterra model the parameter number of which is drastically reduced. This model is used to represent a reverse pendulum.
