Abstract :
This paper presents a tool using Java for webcentric weather modeling with the ARPS model. `Java for the ARPS´ is a tool designed to remove the necessity of learning complex and varied computer platforms for researchers whose main idea aim is to do science. Due to a lack of standards in computer platforms and user interfaces, users, researchers whose main aim is to use computers for science rather than as a platform for software development, are always looking for tools which will hide the complexities underneath. `Java for the ARPS´ is a step in this direction
