Abstract :
V/STOL aircrafts have different flight modes, including conventional mode, hover and transition flight. And the control effectors include thrust engines, thrust vectors and aerodynamic actuators. The dynamic model of V/STOL aircrafts varies significantly due to jet-induced effect during hover and transition flight. In this paper, dynamic model of V/STOL aircraft propulsion system and jet-induced forces are built. The 6-DOF nonlinear equations of motion, for a V/STOL UAV are formulated and simulated. Simulations results validate the dynamic model built in this paper. And the dynamic model could be used for propulsion system and control system design.
