Abstract :
After many years out of the curricula, it is now possible to offer a course on the electrical machines design. This new course must contain the new computational techniques: field analysis, optimization and expert systems. The topics of the course, the tutorial classes, the inspection trips. and the homework projects are described. Student reaction is also presented
