Abstract :
A new pitch detection algorithm based on wavelet transform analysis is presented. This algorithm uses a family of modulated Gaussian wavelets adapted to the Bark scale to analyse speech signals decomposing the input signal into different bands. Then, a maxima detector and a new confirmation algorithm are used to extract pitch period information. Evaluation results and comparison tests with standard SIFT algorithm are presented
