Abstract
This paper presents a novel marching-on-in-time (MOT) algorithm that permits the broadband characterization of a canted sector antenna used in the design of a broadband array for space based radar applications. An accurate analysis of this antenna requires a rigorous modeling of the feed region, the dimensions of which are much smaller than those of the radiating elements. To solve this problem of highly varying length scales, the proposed MOT algorithm relies on a loop-tree basis function model to describe the spatial dependency of surface currents. A time domain integral equation solver is constructed using the loop-tree basis functions to analyze the complex geometries.
