Abstract :
A microstrip antenna composed of a feed microstrip line and X-shaped EMC dipole is presented for wide bandwidth and circular polarization. The characteristics of an element parameter of DH, /spl epsiv//sub r2/, A and DL are calculated. Since the values of DH and /spl epsiv//sub r2/ need to keep constant height for simple design and fabrication in an array, their parameters are fixed in the design. Design for arrays such as 10-, 20-, 40-, and 80-element is also performed. The beam tilting result in an array is also calculated for a planar antenna structure for Korea satellite broadcasting reception. The calculated axial ratio is about 0.01 dB in the main beam direction and circular polarization is realized.
