Abstract :
The system structure of data warehouse (DW) for power system is presented, and the design of subject for DW is discussed. Based on common information model (CIM), a general method of dimension modeling for star model of power DW is shown. Five characteristic values are used to validate the model. An example of data modeling for DW of dispatching automation system is shown and validated. The storage strategy will be discussed in detail. After rough estimate, how to select the granularity for DW is shown. In order to enhance performance of query, alter-granularity storage strategy and time rolling compress algorithm are presented for DW.
