Abstract :
Compact design of an ultra wideband dual ridged horn antenna (DRHA) is proposed in this paper. The antenna operates from 3.1 GHz to 17.55 GHz with peak gain of about 14.26 dBi. Derived closed form expression for the ridged tapering is also proposed. Simulations results are obtained using commercial EM simulator and fabricated prototype is designed and measured for validation.
