Abstract :
By the use of adaptive recursive filtering, this paper introduces a new method of adaptive ARMA modeling and model order reduction. Simulation and experimental research indicate that through self-learning and self-adjusting the method can cause the output of the ARMA model to be a best least square fit to an unknown plant and can detect the system delay time feature. It is a practical method for on-line system modeling
