Abstract :
Electron-molecule collision cross sections are one of the most fundamental data in gaseous electronics and analytical representation of these cross sections are necessary for a number of purposes such as simulation, calculation of swarm parameters etc. The author has compiled and derived analytical representations for cross sections in rare gases. A comparison of values obtained from the expressions with the measured values are provided. A brief compilation and critical review of experimental data is also provided.
