Abstract :
Presents a resonant tunneling diode device that operates as a broadband photodetector. The device is capable of detecting light in the visible (594 nm), infrared (1064 nm) and mid-infrared (10.8 μm) ranges. Device response to short optical pulses is measured and light absorption processes are discussed.
