Abstract :
This paper proposes an advanced lossless image and video compression method which applies adaptive plane split according to the features of various types of input data. The results demonstrate that the method improves the compression ratio, particularly for video sequences having a large amount of texture and many edge components. It also maintains low complexity as compared to the existing method.
