  • Abstract
    We design an impulse-radio ultra-wideband (IR-UWB) receiver, especially targeting IEEE 802.15.4a standard for ranging and low-rate communication. We first discuss the IEEE 802.15.4a IR-UWB signal and suggest the full-digital coherent receiver due to its advantages of better performance and accurate ranging. We then propose analog-to-digital converter (ADC) requirements for our receiver.
