Abstract :
Transient analysis of a six-phase 100 HP permanent-magnet machine is made under two situations: a simultaneous short-circuit on 6 phases and a single phase short-circuit. The demagnetization stress on the magnets can be evaluated combining the results of dynamic simulations with a finite-element analysis program
