Abstract :
This paper presents the results of rain attenuation and rain depolarization measurements carried out in a local multipoint communications system (LMCS) experimental link in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The results indicate that for short paths, typical of LMCS, rain depolarization should not significantly affect the system performance.
