Abstract :
In this paper, we present a new kind of high-frequency analog phase shifter suitable for ultrawide-band operation. Phase tuning is obtained with a local oscillator (LO) producing two coherent phase-shifted signals which are mixed with the incident radio-frequency (RF) signal. Measurements on a prototype exhibit a 20:1 operational bandwidth. We discuss system design rules and bandwidth limitations
