Abstract :
We present a method to correct the radial distortion caused by camera lens. The proposed method involves the use of a planar checkerboard pattern. As the radial distortion correction is achieved via a non-iterative process, the proposed method is computationally efficient and very fast. In addition, the proposed method computes the center of radial distortion, which is important to obtain optimal results. The accuracy and robustness of the proposed system are verified on the experimental results of several indoor and outdoor images.
