Abstract :
The given work presents the intensity modulation of a laser beam with the initial polarization of 45° that has passed through a tantalate lithium crystal placed between two crossed polarizers depending on the crystal rotation angle and for different crystallographic directions. The obtained modulation is connected with polarization modulation by means of which the polarization ellipse changes its form in space. Polarization form and position are shown for each direction within the crystal.
