Abstract :
The training requirements of undergraduate electronic engineering students is discussed relative to the needs of manufacturing. Course structure for fourth year M.Eng. students is examined and its relationship to future employment determined. The techniques seen in electronics assembly are contrasted using case studies and industrial visits
