Abstract
Results from propagation experiments at 0.83 μm on a 4 km line-of-sight link across a densely urbanised area are presented and discussed. The experiments were carried out during the period 1992-1994 and concentrate on measurements of received intensity scintillations and angle of arrival. Results obtained provide information on the statistical and spectral characteristics of intensity scintillations and angle of arrival for near-saturated conditions, which can provide important information for the design of free-space digital optical links
