Abstract :
Specific absorption rate (SAR) is computed using the finite element method (FEM) embodied in Ansoft HFSS. Comparisons to finite difference time domain (FDTD) simulations and measurements show that accurate results can be obtained using FEM. High-fidelity models using standards-compliant phantom models are demonstrated and benefits of FEM are highlighted.
