The research on ecological function of aquatic plants in urban waterscape

Aquatic plants have both landscape and ecological functions. As the widespread construction of urban waterscape, the importance of aquatic plants is getting more and more attention. Based on the concept, this paper introduced the five categories of aquatic plants and their common species. Then, three special ecological functions of aquatic plants were concluded, such as removing pollutants and indicating the environmental state. Finally, this paper put forward some ideas about how to make proper selection and correct uses for promoting the ecological effects of aquatic plants.
