Abstract :
This paper proposes a lifetime-aware routing using network coding scheme that provides the solution of lifetime maximization problems in the sensor networks with multiple sources and multiple destinations. In our proposed scheme, the relaying nodes select the route of each flow based on the node condition including remaining energy of adjacent nodes and achieve reduced flow bottleneck in the multicast system via network coding scheme. With lots of random topology simulations, we show that our proposed scheme obtains increased network lifetime performance compared to the conventional maximal lifetime routing scheme and the network coding based minimum distance routing scheme.
