Abstract
Using larch tannin as starting material, cation flocculant larch tannin/acrylamide/dimethyldiallylammonium chloride (TAD) composite was synthesized through graft polymerization reaction. The prepared TAD was characterized by FTIR, molecular distributing and EA. Flocculation performance of TAD was analyzed with high concentration ATT. Results indicated that ATT decoloration rate 89.58% can be achieved when it was treated with TAD and PAC (Poly Aluminium Chloride) (1:1 in mass ratio), and the effect of flocculant is preferable. ς potential value measurement and the optical microscope picture of flocculus showed that flocculation performance for TAD to dye waste water mainly derived from the neutralization of charges and adsorption and subsequent formation of particle-polymer-particle bridges.
