Abstract :
During a typical Stryker Triathlon TS knee revision procedure, surgeons can devote a large amount of time to the removal of a stabilizing pin from the original implant. The current practice requires the use of a variety of tools that have the potential to cause a large amount of debris in the surrounding areas. The Kneet Removal team´s design will facilitate the removal of the pin with a singular thermal scissor device in a time efficient manner, while minimizing polyethylene debris and trauma to the patient.
