Abstract :
“The construction of bridges is not only to solve the traffic problem, but, which is of more importance, to satisfy the citizen´s demanding for environment and enjoyment of art.” With this remark, academician Xiang Haifan, an expert of bridge construction in China, points out clearly that there´s an urgent requirement in optimizing the environment of bridges based on meeting the need of traffic, which is the lighting designers´ more than the bridge engineers´ task. The paper discussed on the important method firstly in which applied TI parameter which CIE recommends to compute and evaluate disability glare and light pollution, and to summarize the problems about light environment of cloverleaf junctions in Tianjin and Beijing through lots of research. Then this paper analyzed the current situation of light environment of the cloverleaf junctions in Beijing and Tianjin, by doing further researches on several representative cloverleaf junctions there, and provided the corresponding and appropriate technical solutions on modifying the lighting design by measuring data, subjective evaluation and lighting simulation software.
