Abstract :
A dipole antenna immersed in a hyperbolic dome made of DNG metamaterial is considered. In the very high-frequency limit, transmission from the antenna across the dome surface occurs as through a planar interface coincident with the plane tangent to the dome at the point of incidence. The far-field radiation appears to originate from a circular equatorial ring located outside the dome and with the antenna at its center.
