Abstract :
Supply support in receiver system can improve the stability of the system, especial voltage stability. As the receiver system in the China Southern power grid (the CSG), Guangdong Province´s load is 70% of the CSG. The voltage support should be applied to improve stability. In this paper, many operation schemes are simulated. Weak nodes are shown by the voltage sensitivity index which is affected by many plants. The location of support can be decided by the comparison of the voltage sensitivity and location where the impact is largest. The results show that the voltages at both weak buses and load buses increase and the margin of voltage stability is enhanced.
