Abstract :
This paper proposes a parameterized design of biorthogonal wavelet based on the algebraical construction method. In order to assign the characters of biorthogonal wavelet, two kinds of parameters are imported in construction process. One is scale factor and another is sign factor. The limited condition of filter construction is pointed out as the filter´s support interval is odd or even. In edge detection, the necessary condition of wavelet construction is put forward. And three wavelet filters are built by parameterized design. The simulation results show that the parameterized design of biorthogonal wavelet is feasible and simple. The wavelet designed is effective in edge detection.
