Abstract :
The joint research activity 3 of the European project GN2 is specifying and prototyping a bandwidth on demand service due to operate on a multi-domain environment with heterogeneous transmission technologies. The paper reviews keys achievements and highlights current research and development areas with a particular focus on inter-domain issues.
