Abstract
Use of an adaptive array is one of the promising approaches to counteracting signal degradation in broadband indoor personal communication systems and optimising their performance. This article describes implementation of a prototype with discrete microwave components for use in an experimental transmission system at 29 GHz. It gives the general configuration of the array antenna system, the array of antennas in microstrip technology, the feed and phase-shifter control circuit, the programming and monitoring algorithm, radiation patterns and typical measurements of the adaptation time
