Abstract :
Presents a method for fuzzy model identification whose main characteristic is the incremental creation and automatic distribution of the fuzzy sets in the domain of each input variable. The output rule parameters are optimized by a least square error minimization. The fuzzy sets are determined in such a way that the resulting fuzzy rule base remains reasonably readable by domain experts. The methodology is applied to numerical examples found in the literature
