Abstract
In this paper, we proposes a configuration management system for multi-hop ZigBee networks. The proposed system forms hierarchical management architecture which consists of supervisors with backup servers on host PCs, local managers with proxy caches on routers, and agents on end devices. Based on the architecture, the propose scheme provides a Plug-and-Play (PnP) capability to dynamically and automatically plug in/out the ZigBee devices over the multi-hop ZigBee networks. In addition, we provide a configuration tool which allows users to easily configure each ZigBee device according to their practical uses. From the implementation and evaluation, we show that our proposed scheme performs well.
