Abstract
We propose and demonstrate an all-optical analogue-to-digital conversion with bitwise signal allocation using spatial coding method. It enables to output each bit of a digital signal to a different detector. Preliminary experimental results show that 8-levels analogue signals can be successfully converted into corresponding 3-bit grey codes.
