Abstract
The goal of the high accuracy cycle time synchronization and its specific implementation described in this article is to ensure the high fidelity of the streamed multimedia contents transmitted between networked IEEE 1394 clusters via UWB over coaxial cable in home HANA and AV/C digital multimedia networks. This mechanism avoids buffer under- and overruns in sink´s clusters as well as prevents phase difference artifacts when transmitting streaming data through the home network.
