Abstract :
A rectangular cavity backed slot antenna with two parallel parasitic slots is proposed to widen the bandwidth. The method of moments (MoM) is used to calculate the input impedance, VSWR, and radiation pattern where the effect of the cavity is taken into account. The VSWR bandwidth (/spl les/ 2) is increased from 4.6 % to 10.6 % by introducing two parasitic slots.
